Few There Be

Most people will never make it to Heaven.  I realize that this sounds like a pretty obnoxious statement to most people.  Nevertheless, it is certainly the truth.  Most people will decide to sell out, reject Jesus, and spend Eternity in Hell, rather than to trust Jesus and go to Heaven when they die.

By what authority do I say this?  I say this based upon the highest authority in the whole universe, upon the very authority of God Himself.  God made this idea very clear in His Word, The Bible.  God said that many would go to destruction and that few would ever find eternal life.

Why is it that so many will go down to destruction, the eternal destruction of the Lake of Fire, and yet so few will ever make it to Heaven?  The reason is always the same - the reason is always: sin.  People want to commit sin rather than give up their sin and trust Jesus.

If you are lost, and have never trusted Jesus to save you from your sin, then this describes you as well.  You love your sin and will not come to Jesus that He might save you from your sin.  You would rather risk your eternal soul than give up your beloved sin.  Yes, you are a "sinner" and  you very much desire to remain a sinner.

All sin is against God and against God's laws.  God is just.  He must punish sin.  God must therefore punish your sins -- every single sin that you have ever committed.  God must send you to Hell when you die as punishment for your sins.

Why continue in sin?  Why go to Hell when you die?  Why not rather trust Jesus to pay for your sin?  Jesus is up in Heaven right now.  Jesus desires to pay for your sin with His blood, the blood He shed on the Cross 2,000 years ago.  Jesus can save you and will save you if you will trust Him to save you.  Trust Jesus today!
